Behavioral Health LPC/LMFT/LCSW - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Licensed Professional Counselor/ Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (BH LPC/LMFT) - Behavioral Health Wf who will independently practices in an evaluation or treatment setting dedicated to evaluation and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders. The BH LPC/LMFT will collaborate with patient/support system in evaluating, diagnosing patients utilizing current edition Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and providing specialized psychotherapy services as described in CPT to reduce and /or resolve symptoms of psychiatric and/or substance use disorders identified. Utilizing established approaches and standards, the BH LPC/LMFT will complete assessment of patient risk to self and/or others, complete and implement risk reduction/mitigation plans to ensure patient and community safety. The BH LPC/LMFT incorporates evidence-based approaches to psychotherapy including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Recovery Model. The BH LPC/LMFT will demonstrate effectiveness in individual, group and family psychotherapy and multi-modal treatment settings. The BH LPC/LMFT will demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities consistent with their licensure and association code of ethics, and shall perform duties in a manner that respects patient self-determination, reduces health disparities/barriers to care, and adheres to their Standards of Practice and the Providence mission.


Required qualifications:

  • Master's Degree eligible for licensure as LPC or LMFT in accordance with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors -OR- Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE Accredited School of Social Work, or from a school in candidacy status by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE)LCSW with the state of Oregon

  • LPC or LMFT licensure with the state of Oregon

  • LCSW licensure with the state of Oregon can be used in lieu of LPC or LMFT

  • Certification to assess and implement a Directors Hold as delegate to Mental Health Authority within 6 months of hire

  • Two (2) years Post Masters experience in a behavioral health treatment setting

  • For those in a dedicated Chemical Dependency treatment program, a CADC is needed, -OR- 60 hours of approved continuing education units (CEUs) in diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders within one year of hire

  • ED Outreach Specialist:

  • Valid driver's license.

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider completion within one month of hire

  • In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check may be needed for this position based upon the location of the position

  • Fingerprinting may be required

  • CET program:

  • Valid driver’s license

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider completion within one month of hire
