Providence is calling a Clinical Operations Registered Nurse Manager - Mental Health (1.0 FTE, Days) to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient unit at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City, OR.
Providence Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient (CAPU) unit is unique as it's one of only a handful of programs of its kind in the US! This unit provides acute stabilization treatment for children age 5 – apx 12 (6 beds) and teens through age 17 (14 beds). Our program is developmentally/age appropriate and flexible to individual needs, and incorporates a trauma-informed approach to care. We partner with families during individualized treatment, as well as planning for transition back to their community.
The CAPU is located at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center. Since 1954, Willamette Falls has served the community as a not-for-profit hospital dedicated to exceptional care. We offer some of the most advanced technologies, systems and services, and remain committed to the tradition of community outreach and involvement. Our Joint Commission accredited acute care hospital provides the residents of Clackamas County with a wide range of health care services and programs. More than 300 physicians and health care professionals are licensed to practice in our facility. Our medical center is licensed for 143 beds and in addition to serving our CAPU patients and families we provide emergency, medical-surgical, intensive, surgical services and maternity care.
We are seeking an experienced leader who is: knowledgeable in the needs and evidence-based care of this patient population, highly organized, meets deadlines, collaborates effectively, and is an seasoned operational leader. In this position, you will:

Be accountable for the 24/7 operations of this unit
Be accountable for the quality of care delivered and outcomes of areas under their leadership
Establish an environment where healing and wellness are optimized and the core values of the organization are realized for both our patients and caregivers
Lead effective care delivery through strong caregiver engagement, wise use of resources, and compassionately hold others accountable for their behaviors and actions
Assemble and develop effective teams of caregivers and lead these teams in a complex and changing environment
Establish and sustain collaborative interprofessional relationships in service to Providence Health & Services (PH&S) strategic plans.
Be accountable for unit adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, contracts, procedures, and standards of performance
Develop and mentor their direct reports and plan for succession
Be informed by the highest level of evidence available when developing standards and modifying care delivery systems
Actively support the PH&S Mission and Values, system, region, and local strategic priorities and programs
Serve as a transformational role model to the team
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN)
Current Oregon Registerd Nurse (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider within 6 months of hire
5 years in nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's degree or higher in a related field strongly preferred
National Certification from American Nurses Association (ANA) or professional organization in relevant field of clinical expertise
Formal coursework in management, finance, and other administrative subjects
Previous management experience strongly preferred
