Providence Health & Services Personal Care Aide Lead / Medication Tech in Oregon City, Oregon
Providence is calling a Personal Care Aide Lead to provide compassionate care to participants of the Providence ElderPlace program in the Portland Metro area.

Marie Smith Center
We currently have full-time and part-time benefit eligible positions as well as fill-in relief openings available for day (6:30am-2:30pm) evening (2:30pm-10;30pm) and night (10:30pm-6:30am) shifts .
For positions that are benefits eligible, benefit coverage starts on your date of hire. All positions are eligible for a free annual Tri-met pass and minimum of the pay range is $15.60/hour and increases with applicable years of experience. Shift differential available for evening and night shifts.
In this position, you will:
Under the direction of the Resident Care Supervisor and with clinical supervision by a Registered Nurse (RN), is expected to serve in a leadership role with other Aides to complete all required documentation.
Assure that all care and medications are administered appropriately, to solve problems, and to communicate with the staff of the next shift.
Perform basic and routine quality care to the ElderPlace residents including assisting them in the activities of daily living and other personal care tasks.

Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
Current Standard First Aide certification
2 years of experience as a caregiver with frail elderly
6 months of medication administration experience
In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties; fingerprinting may also be required
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Oregon
1 year of medication administration experience
Completion of approved medication administration training and/or proficient in providing activities of daily living (ADL) care
