Providence is calling a RN - Clinical Education Coordinator Surgical Services $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS (1.0 FTE, Variable) to Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City, OR.

This position will provide coverage for Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center and Providence Milwaukie Hospital. Travel between the two facilities will be required.

In this position, you will:

  • Assess, plan, present/facilitate and evaluate orientation and education activities of Surgical Services caregivers to assure competence in job performance and promote professional development.

  • Act as liaison and/or consultant with other departments in the hospital.

  • Coordinate student and new caregiver experiences in Surgical Services areas.

  • Coordinate and facilitate Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement (QA/CQI) activities to promote quality patient outcomes and effective /efficient use of resources.

  • Perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

  • BSN required with additional training in adult education, Operating Room (OR) nursing, and leadership

  • Current licensure by the Oregon State Board of Nursing

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

  • 4 years of experience in surgical services with prior leadership responsibilities

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters degree in nursing or related field

  • CNOR
